For security reasons, it is only possible to connect to the MySQL server via local connections by default. Sometimes, however, it may be necessary for you as a client to let an external system talk to your database. To allow this, do the following:
- Log in to your cPanel account at https://your-domain.dk/cpanel
- Go to Databases > External MySQL®
- Add an IP address/host
- Click on Add host
It should now be possible to make connections to the database from the IP address/host you added.
