With a customer account with us, you always have access to free creation of DNS zones for your domains.
You can manage your domain's DNS through enavn.dk's client area. Once logged in, you can access the Domains -> Manage DNS menu. You will then see a list of domain names that you can edit.
If you need to add a new DNS zone – if it’s not already on your account – scroll down to the bottom and click on Add DNS Zone. In the following popup window, enter the domain name in the domain field and click Confirm to create the domain.
Find the desired domain name in the overview and click on the Edit Zone button to the right of as illustrated below.
This will take you to the domain name DNS zone settings, which may look like the following. From here you can easily edit or add new DNS records.
If you want to create a new DNS record, click Add Record in the upper right, which opens a new window for the purpose.
The fields in the example above are filled out as follows:
- Name: Enter the subdomain, e.g., "subdomain".
- Type: In this example, select the type "A," which is the most commonly used record type.
- TTL (Time to Live): Specify the number of seconds this DNS record should be cached on the client network.
- RDATA: Enter the destination for the A record, which in this case must always be an IPv4 address.
NB: If you need your new DNS record to be created directly on the "root domain", you can enter an "@" in the Name field.
The new DNS record will now be found in the overview.
